Lending Resources Group, Inc. has a wide variety of lending sources that will grant loans for commercial properties (and in some cases residential properties) throughout California and the United States. We have originated more than $600 million in residential and commercial mortgages.

Lending Resources Group helps to find private commercial funding for a broad spectrum of property types, including office buildings, multi-family housing, and retail shopping malls. We also offer financing for national and international construction development projects, including resorts. Not only do we assist in locating financing for properties, but we are also dedicated to helping business owners obtain financing for their start-up companies.

Lending Resources Group has carved out a niche in the IRA investment financing arena. We have helped numerous IRA investors obtain the ‘IRS required’ non-recourse financing to purchase investment properties that include 1-4 single family housing as well as apartment buildings.

About The CEO

Mark Robbins, J.D.

Mark Robbins, Founder/CEO of Lending Resources Group, holds a B.A. from New York University and a J.D. from Western State University College of Law. Mark is an entrepreneur. He helped start a very successful division of the largest commodities’ options firm in the U.S. in the 1980’s. After 10 years in the financial industry, he pioneered a hi-tech executive recruiting company start-up in the 1990’s. He built the company into an acclaimed placement firm for Oracle Consultants and software professionals nationwide.

Once the recession hit in 2001-2002, he closed his search firm and sought out a new career. Real estate investing and construction was a hobby for Mark over the previous 25 years. He decided to make real estate financing his next career. He  became a mortgage banker in 2002 with Bank of America and went on to join the CTX Mortgage Company, a division of the home building company, Centex in Dallas, the following year. He was promptly promoted to manage their Marin County office. Mark was the first mortgage banker of more than 900 mortgage bankers at CTX Mortgage to initiate non-recourse financing for IRA investors who bought real estate with their retirement accounts.

On the heels of the residential mortgage industry downturn, Mark founded Lending Resources Group, Inc. in 2007, specializing in commercial real estate financing. Lending Resources Group  operates nationwide to assist their clients with financing all types of projects including multi-family construction development and purchases, assisted living facilities, office and industrial properties, resort properties, exclusive single family home developments, green energy projects, mining projects and operating capital for businesses. Lending Resources Group Inc. has a strong network of Associate Brokers and Private Lenders throughout the United States.

Mark has been happily married for 45 years and has two wonderful daughters. His passions are golf, working out at the gym and helping people find solutions to their financial challenges.

About the SVP

Timothy Olson

Tim is Senior Vice President for Commercial and Construction lending at Lending Resources Group. He holds a B.S. in Business/Marketing from California State University at Northridge in Los Angeles. After graduating in 1979, he spent a couple years in advertising and brand management while getting his real estate license.

According to Tim, “My dad was in the construction business and it’s something I’ve always been around since childhood. I painted houses and commercial properties to pay for college and have always had an affinity for real estate.” In 1981, he obtained a real estate license, got a job as a Realtor but after six months realized that financing real estate, rather than selling it, was more suited to his talents. He jumped into lending in 1982.

His timing was less than perfect, as the country was in a major recession and interest rates were 18%. There were some hard lessons early on but he adjusted and found success in financing construction and development for homebuilders and commercial loans for investors. Over the past forty years, Tim has originated hundreds of millions in real estate loans. While his primary focus continues to be commercial and construction financing, he also does some residential and mixed use lending.

Outside the real estate business, Tim developed a passion for food and wine. An accomplished home cook, he also made wine commercially for a number of years. What started as a hobby years ago (home winemaking) led to numerous investments in the wine industry including a couple of wineries. When he’s not cooking in his spare time, you might find him on a golf course or fly fishing on a local trout stream.
